The North Penn International Friendship Committee (IFC) has been administering the international exchange program for the North Penn School District since 1962.  Over those years the IFC has provided opportunities for North Penn students and for foreign students to experience an academic & cultural experience in another country.  The results and rewards of these experiences have been far reaching and have been invaluable in positively affecting participant’s lives.

The North Penn High school and the North Penn community has richly benefited from this program and the efforts are mainly as a result of the passion of the members of the IFC, the cooperation of the administration, teachers and staff of North Penn, and the support of all the individuals that have been touched by the program in so many ways.

We recognize the need for the continued efforts of the IFC to foster and maintain this rich tradition for years to come.   We also recognize the need for continued support of others that have been involved and who believe in or who have benefited from this unique and rewarding program.  In order to maintain the level of success we have had, we have instituted an opportunity for interested individuals to support and help to promote the efforts of the exchange program.  This group of people will be called “Friends of the IF (FIF).  The “Friends of the IF” essentially will be individuals who wish to offer their support and/or help in one or more of the following areas:

1.   Volunteering for specific duties (other then the craft shows)

2.   Member of a subcommittee of the IFC (such as correspondence or special activities or functions, etc.)

3.   Collaboration of common or related efforts (such as language teachers, etc.)

4.   Financial support (such as monetary or other donations to a specific effort.

The efforts of the “Friends of the IF” (FIF) are not limited to these areas but are designed to not only promote the program and to help guarantee the continued success, but also to provide opportunities to a broader population of individuals who believe in and want to see the program flourish.

We invite you to become a “Friend Of the IF” for a short term or for the long term and to the time commitment that fits your schedule and interest.
